Today marks the 34th anniversary of President George H.W. Bush signing one of the most significant civil rights laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). President Bush stated, “Let the shameful wall of exclusion finally come tumbling down.” Since that day in 1990, the ADA has granted millions of disabled Americans a life of equality, independence, and opportunity.

STATEMENT BY THE GEORGE & BARBARA BUSH FOUNDATION: The George & Barbara Bush Foundation joins our fellow Americans in mourning the innocent life that was lost tonight in Butler, Pennsylvania — and in sending our prayers to President Trump and his family and the other rally attendees who were injured. We are grateful to the United States Secret Service for their quick response. We also join our fellow Americans in condemning this senseless violence, which can have no place in our political process. This great Nation, which so many have fought and died to preserve, deserves better.

We’re reflecting on the 41@100 Centennial Celebration Dinner that honored President George H.W. Bush’s legacy on his 100th birthday. It was the first event held in the new Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum on the Texas A&M campus, which is home to the historic Marine One helicopter and Union Pacific 4141 Locomotive. Thank you to President George W. Bush, Doro Bush Koch, Governor Jeb Bush, and Neil Bush who each shared memories of their father that truly captured the essence of his character. Lauren Bush Lauren also gave a heartfelt memorial toast, and attendees enjoyed a performance from The Oak Ridge Boys. The Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion is free to the public Monday – Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday, noon – 5 p.m. #41at100

We are wishing the Aggie Baseball team luck as they head into the College World Series finals tomorrow! The Texas A&M Aggies honored President Bush’s centennial birthday by wearing a 41@100 patch on their jerseys this season, which was truly an honor. We have no doubt President and Mrs. Bush will be pulling for the Fightin’ Aggies from their heavenly sky box. #GigEm #41at100
