Rising sea levels mean more environmental resiliency projects for Virginia-based MEB, a full-service construction firm and a PDCA contractor member. “Flood wall projects are becoming more and more popular,” said Gary Worley, MEB senior project manager, noting hurricanes and powerful nor’easters continue to wreak havoc along shorelines in Virginia’s Hampton Roads area, where MEB performs much of its work. MEB self-performs much of its work, a practice Worley says places the company in a great position to deliver projects on time. “That’s one thing we pride ourselves on. Performing the work with your own employees means that you can command the schedule and there are no excuses for delays,” he said. “We continue to increase the amount of self-perform work we do, and the number of employees we have has grown tremendously.” To learn more about MEB, check out the latest issue of #PileDriverMagazine: https://lnkd.in/gaVdehxr Photo: Backus Aerial Photography #PDCADriven #piledriving #deepfoundations #shorelineprotection #marineconstruction

Thank you to Sonny Greene and the Vecellio & Grogan team- we are proud to be partners with you all and a resource as you #driveitdrillitpullit!
It's been a while since my last post but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy. Things are happening at North Causeway Bridge in Ft. Pierce, FL. We now have 3 crane barges on-site and 3 more cranes on land. Water footers and columns going in on the water and caps coming soon. Vecellio & Grogan will also be starting the rebuild of the North Causeway Island Boat Ramp for St. Lucie County. More updates coming soon! Need to start thanking our vendors and suppliers on here as well. Starting with Garrett Hogencamp with GeoQuip, Inc. Had a couple times in the last few months we needed some fast assistance with our pile driving equipment. Garrett and his team pulled through without hesitation.

Supplied a D30 diesel impact hammer and Hydraulic Power Systems HPSI 500 vibratory hammer. Thanks to our friends at McCarthy for trusting GeoQuip to service their new project!
