We very much appreciated the ideas and insights our Digital Lakes interns contributed during their micro-internships!
Today marked the end of the Digital Lakes Micro-interns first of three month long company rotations in the southeast region. (Lansing runs 6 weeks) Many of the student interns presented report outs on their experiences to leaders and professionals within the companies. These report outs were impressive to say the least! Their work summaries were thorough and impactful, providing the host companies with valuable information and feedback! Fantastic projects and experiences were provided by the companies and unbelievable talent and enthusiasm was brought by the student-interns! Congratulations to all on a fantastic first session. M-SHORAD Increment 1 has a new name! The US Army announced that its Maneuver Short Range Air Defense capability will be called the Sgt Stout, in honor of Mitchell W. Stout, who was killed in action while shielding his fellow Soldiers from a grenade in Vietnam. He is the only Air Defender ever to earn the Medal of Honor. The Sgt Stout M-SHORAD system integrates air defense capabilities onto a Stryker A1 armored vehicle. It is designed to defeat uncrewed aerial systems and fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. We’re proud to deliver the Sgt Stout! #Hooah #InnovationMode #ArmyBday

It was one year ago this week that the M10 Booker got its official name from the US Army. The combat vehicle's name honors Pvt. Robert Booker, an infantryman who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for actions during World War II, and Staff Sgt. Stevon Booker, an armor soldier who was killed in Iraq in 2003 and posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross. #Hooah #InnovationMode
