In a nutshell, you type a few words and the AI matches them to related images from its database of millions of samples. Start by dreaming up a broad concept of what you want, like a Cruiser that looks like a duck in Battle Fleet AI, or a mural of the Chicago skyline you can piece together in Jigsaw Puzzle AI. Once you have that, think of one or two important details. What color are the swan’s feathers? Is the skyline at day or night? Does it look realistic, or cartoonish? ✂️ 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐓, 𝐂𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐒 📝 Whenever you want generative AI to create something, you’ll be asked to give it a “prompt.” This acts as your instructions for the AI, and it can be anything from a simple one-word theme (“steampunk”) to a complex description (“a steampunk cowboy who’s actually the president holding a rocket launcher while smiling at the setting sun”). While either of these can create an amazing starship in Space Striker AI, you’ll probably get better results from a prompt of five words or less that focuses on the most important details (“steampunk rocket launcher cowboy”). 📚𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 🎨 Writing effective prompts can be an art form all its own, with results that can be unpredictable at times. To account for this, some of our games give players multiple art options for each prompt they give. But to really get a feel for what works takes practice. To that end, you can spend time playing with browser-based options like Craiyon or Perchance.
