Last week, Pete Schwarz spoke at the Minnesota Real Estate Journal Property Management Summit discussing Tenant Improvement Trends! Some takeaway topics include: -Invest in spaces that draw your team back to the office! Create office areas to meet your team’s needs—collaborative workstations, private breakout rooms, or cozy, home-like environments. Modern amenities like pickleball courts and golf simulators also reflect evolving trends and get people excited to come downtown. -Get the GC involved early on in the process! The best value for the customer comes when we are brought on from the very beginning so we can engage in conversations around budgeting space plans, giving detailed scope narratives, etc. -The Value Engineering process should engage all stakeholders and project partners to ensure the design intent and function are not sacrificed with cost savings! By working together, teams can find creative alternatives and not immediately jump to cutting scope as a solution. -Lead times are starting to level out once again post-pandemic! Congratulations to the Central Standard Craft Distillery for taking home one of Milwaukee's finest awards: a Cream of the Cream City Award for Historic Preservation. This building's revitalization transformed this once empty space into a hub for the community to gather and connect. We were proud to support our partners JLL and HGA in bringing this unique gem to life! #Historicrestoration #MKEcommunity

It was a pleasure partnering with one of our design partners and friends, Studio BV, to make our office expansion vision a reality! From humble beginnings working out of a closet office to now having a 23,500-square-foot space, the Gardner Builders’ growth story is a testament of our pursuit to change the construction industry! The expansion of our space is a direct reflection of the thriving team and markets we have developed over the years. Our next big step - expanding our Milwaukee Office! From a rundown auto body shop to a designer’s dream, this unique transformation is worth a double take. Our team helped convert this 3,800ft space into Talking Walls’ boutique and showroom located in Milwaukee. Join us in celebrating their official grand opening!
