A BIG THANK YOU to @Angelica here for taking the time to speak tonight on STEAM Education for Girls: Nurturing Future Women in Tech! 👏 For all our attendees, THANK YOU, for taking the time and joining us! 🎉 We hope you had fun and enjoyed tonight’s event. 🙌 Thank you @Emma for the socials @Meghan for cohosting inviting the guest and the questions and @Sorab for hosting it. Here are a couple of noteworthy points from last event: 🎮Breaking down the stereotype barriers is important to bring in more diversity and inclusion in game development, STEM, STEAM, and Tech. Increasing the space and opportunities for young girls in these male-dominated fields is important- especially in higher up positions. Doing this will show young girls that they are welcomed and it is actually possible for them to work in these fields. 🎮Be a positive influence and role model for young girls and women! Being supportive and helping them learn will benefit them so much and give them the confidence that they can do the job. Be an encouragement, not a discouragement. 🎮 Getting into tech at an older age is very possible! Use the internet, network on LinkedIn, keep putting yourself out there, and take risks! 🎮You don’t need to go to college/university or become a professional in gaming first to be able to promote the ideas you wish to educate people on. If you fully believe in what you’re doing, then you can do it! 🎮Having the passion and will to learn is important in anything you do! 🎮At the end of the day, we are all human beings.
