Another great article Alex Lockie I mentioned in a post today that I’m thinking that if some of these third-party vetting platforms would collaborate and develop a stronger more objective platform using more than just FMCSA data the industry would be better off To me, it’s extremely important to use objective information to determine the exact identity with 100% certainty and to verify that the carrier or broker is in compliance with ALL state and federal regulations first. After that information is confirmed then we can move on to more subjective qualifiers We are simply on a path to simply dismiss carriers based on how the “might” perform- that is just not right!

BEWARE! The #SCUMBAGS are trying another approach to rip off Carriers and Brokers Take a look at the recently published warning from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration https://lnkd.in/gbAXd9XH We wish there were a way to educate all industry entities to understand that the FMCSA will not contact you to help you to get your records updated. They cannot even keep up with the unsolicited requests for records change. If anyone gets an email from the FMCSA, immediately contact the agency I contact them all the time, and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to communicate with them My preference is to chat - click here for that link https://lnkd.in/eyFyPP2V You can also call 1-800-832-5660 Or send an email https://lnkd.in/evyE_AKv I also recommend that recipients look at the IP Address of the sender. Many of these companies have flown under the radar with other vetting and carrier identity platforms because only subjective and predictive data is used to determine “how they will perform” It doesn’t matter how many inspections they had, how long they have been in business or what size trucks they operate. What matters is are they incompliant with the state and federal law and were they in compliance when their application for motor carrier operating authority was issued.
