There’s a lot to love at Parramore Oaks, Downtown Orlando’s latest affordable housing project. The prime location makes it key for walkability - steps from ZL Riley Park and a playground across the street, entertainment venues like the Amway Arena, Dr. Philips Performing Arts Center, Camping World Stadium, and Church Street Station, and downtown shops, restaurants, offices, transit options, and more. Residents also enjoy their own greenspace, a stylish community center with a kitchenette, library/business area, fitness room, kid’s activity room, on-site property management/leasing office, and service providers offering seminars and workshops. The community is made up of one 4-story building with 83 units, and an adjacent 2-story building with 8 units, and built using concrete block walls with hollow core, precast plank floors, and roof. “We are proud to be a part of the development team that was able to bring back much-needed apartments to the City of Orlando. Parramore Oaks II completes the property that was once called Parramore Village which had been demolished over 20 years ago.” - Jeffrey Chue #architecture #multifamily #affordablehousing #apartments

The spotlight is on Tiara Aponte, Designer II at Forum. Tiara decided to go into the architecture field when she was 12 years old looking at house floor plans in Better Homes & Gardens magazine. While flipping the pages, she dreamt of creating a beautiful and peaceful space for her family to call home. Her grandmother and mother thought it was a noble profession so they supported her to continue on that path. Since then, she has never wanted to be anything else. Tiara has been at Forum for 4 years and is an integral part of one of our multifamily studios. “I take pride in being a Forum employee-owner, which in itself is an amazing and unique opportunity to be a part of, and to be part of a company who is dedicated to the professional growth of all its employees. On a more personal note, Forum has a special place in my heart as it has supported me in times of adversity.” Tiara’s professional goal is to obtain that coveted title of Architect. We have no doubt she will achieve this accomplishment. We are incredibly lucky to have Tiara at Forum and look forward to her continued success! #architecture #architect #designer #employeeowner #ForumFamily

“About a decade ago, Forum Architecture and Interior Design Inc designed plans for a senior living developer incorporating ‘bridge’ units for couples. These units are attached to the memory care wing so the spouse with dementia could access care services while the caregiver spouse had options for their own care services and can take their spouse outside the building.” This is a brief excerpt from our latest Forum Thought Leadership article, published in June. When it comes to aging, we realize one of our client’s top concerns for their residents is to give them a sense of freedom while also providing safety and protection. As architects and interior designers, we’re accustomed to developing creative solutions that help our clients solve difficult problems. We’re looking forward to discussing these issues and needs at Florida Senior Living Association’s Engage Conference this week. You can pick up a copy of this article and others at our booth - Number 41! For those who won’t be attending the conference, we’re sharing it here for your reading delight & education on this market sector. Please reach out to Business Development Director Michelle Rademacher to discuss opportunities. #seniorliving #architecture #interiordesign #purchasing #procurement #FSLA #FORUM

Breaking Ground! Congratulations to our client Newstar Development, LLC on their latest senior housing development, Heritage Oaks. It is the first phase of redeveloping the Rainbow Village public housing community in Largo, FL. This affordable housing project will consist of 80 new construction senior units to be contained in one, three-story garden apartment building. New residents will enjoy a community room, dining spaces, a computer lab, fitness center and multiple activity rooms to keep their social calendars full. First dirt is shoveled and construction is expected to be completed by Fall 2025! Congrats to our Studio Director Steve Silveira, NCARB and his team for reaching this fun milestone in the project. #architecture #seniorliving #affordablehousing #FORUM
