Michigan Central Station captured the heart of logistics specialist and fifth-generation Ford employee Jon DuBois in 1987, when his great-grandfather took him on a day trip to Chicago for a slice of pizza. He and his great-grandfather, whose Ford tenure dated back to the Henry Ford era, were among some of the last passengers to leave the station before it closed in January 1988. The architecture fan watched for decades in despair as the station decayed. In 2018 DuBois was shocked, like many others, to learn of Ford’s reclamation project, spearheaded by Executive Chair Bill Ford. He was thrilled to be selected for an advance tour of the station before its June 2024 reopening, and was able to get tickets to the free star-studded outdoor concert featuring Eminem, Diana Ross, Jack White, and many, many others who announced the building’s grand reopening to the world. DuBois was eager to share the station’s history with his family, including his daughter who works at Flat Rock Assembly Plant, and encouraged them to take advantage of the public tours following the opening concert. Sadly, DuBois’ wife of 24 years passed away in April before the opening. DuBois says, “That building is closer to my heart than anything ever has been on this planet except for my wife. … I believe (she) had a lot to do with me getting these tickets and the opportunities.” “Getting to be down there for both for the concert and the tour, the inside of it took me right back to my childhood, but it was even better because the building looks newer than it did in 1988,” said DuBois. “It’s just the perfect ending to the perfect story for me,” he said. “From what it was in 1988 to what it is today … I still can’t believe it’s real.” Start your own family history at Ford or add to the Ford story your family started – learn more at http://spr.ly/6047cxVmc . #WeAreFord #Michigan Central

Hi there! My name is Oreoluwa Sowemimo, and I'm a senior at Texas A&M University, pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. This summer, I’m thrilled to be a #FordIntern with the Ford Performance team as a Motorsports Aerodynamics Intern. I have a passion for experimenting with new technologies and developing innovative methods, and this internship has given me a front-row seat to the intricate process of motorsport aerodynamic development. The highlight of my experience so far has been driving the F-150 Raptor on the test track alongside my fellow performance interns. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to continue pushing the boundaries of automotive performance! 🏎️ Join me on this #InternTuesday as I take over the FordCareers Instagram stories for a #DayintheLife of a Ford Intern.

Aaron Schneider, business development director for Ford Pro, introduced Ford Pro’s new Smart Charging Bundle during a Ford Pro-hosted panel discussion on EV adoption and fleet integration. The bundle is intended to help make it easier for businesses to add electric vehicles to their fleet by reducing charging costs and alleviating strain on the electrical grid. “We’ve created this opportunity where we can do all of the heavy lifting and our customers don’t have to worry about a thing,” said Schneider. The nearly hour-long virtual discussion was moderated by John Hitch, editor-in-chief of Fleet Maintenance magazine. Schneider and Hitch were joined by Kirk Shields, director of development for Green Mountain Power in Vermont, and Robert Pardo, director of central fleet for the City of Boston. Shields and Green Mountain Power have partnered with Ford Pro and boast a fleet full of more than 50 F-150 Lightning pickups and Mustang Mach-E SUVs. The company is hoping to fully transition to an all-electric fleet within the next five years. Pardo noted his team’s use of EVs, which began a decade ago with a Ford Focus EV and other smaller vehicles, has led other city departments to request their own all-electric vehicles. As part of her summer project, Marketing, Sales & Service Field Operations intern Abby Vossen educates dealerships on BlueCruise and works to boost sales by sharing customer and competitive analyses, incentive programs, and sales and stock stats. It’s not all slide decks, though -- the The University of Kansas student developed an interactive quiz-show-style game to keep everyone engaged! Thinking about summer 2025 already? Look for next year’s intern opportunities in early September. #WeAreFord #FordIntern
On Tuesday, I had the incredible opportunity to present my summer findings, focusing on BlueCruise, to a local dealership. I'm immensely grateful for this chance and for all the support I've received throughout the summer. I am incredibly lucky to be a part of such an amazing team filled with endless learning opportunities. #WeAreFord #FordIntern #NationalInternDay

As my summer internship with the AI Image Generation group and the AI Advancement Center at Ford Motor Company comes to a close, I wanted to take a moment to share some of this incredible journey. 🚗💨 This summer, as a Machine Learning and Data Science intern, a few of the things I had the chance to do included: ● Diving deep into state-of-the-art image generation models (diffusers). ● Working with Ford's High Performance Computing (HPC) GPU Cluster (and almost breaking it... 😅). ● Growing as a full-stack engineer thanks to the amazing support from everyone at the AI Advancement Center. ● Hear inspiring talks from Ford leaders like Bill Ford, Jim Farley, Mike Amend, and many others – all incredibly approachable and insightful. As my internship wraps up, I can confidently say I've had a lot of fun, met some incredible people, and learned more than I ever imagined. I hope to be back soon for more adventures! A big thank you to my manager, Austin Denha, and everyone who made this experience so memorable. #FordSummerIntern #WeAreFord #MachineLearning #DataScience #AI #Diffusion #HighPerformanceComputing #Engineering #Innovation #Internship

Ford design and release engineer Chioma Lyons, MON (Cici) hopes the second time is the charm for her as she competes in the discus throw in Paris for her native country of Nigeria. Despite qualifying for the Games in 2021, she and her nine teammates were ruled ineligible due to a team administrative error. This year Cici is back and throwing better than ever, and her family, friends, and the whole Ford team will be cheering her on in Paris! #WeAreFord
