This ambitious project is expected to be completed within one year, bringing a host of new amenities and improvements to our community. The Foothills Area YMCA is excited to announce the promotion of Mary Lee Stanley to Branch Executive Director, Business and Finance. Previously serving as Financial Coordinator, Mary Lee managed the Y’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring to achieve financial goals. In her new role, Mary Lee will join the Senior Leadership Team, continuing to oversee financial matters while expanding her responsibilities to include investments, information technology, marketing, human resources, and overall business strategy. She will lead financial administration, business planning, and budgeting, with direct reports in finance, marketing, HR, and IT. Please join us in congratulating Mary Lee on her new role. For 30 years, Healthy Kids Day has celebrated kids’ mental and physical health, while teaching healthy habits for kids and families, encouraging active play and inspiring a lifetime love of physical activity. On April 20, 2024, more than 1,400 Y locations across the nation will be hosting events featuring fun games and activities to keep kids moving and learning. The Foothills Area YMCA is thrilled to announce the promotion of Sarah Tate and Sydney Lia to the Branch Executive Team. Formerly serving as Childcare Director and Fitness Director, respectively, Sarah and Sydney have demonstrated exceptional leadership, contributing to significant growth in their respective departments through their emphasis on staff development, program management, and organizational skills. In their new roles, Sarah will spearhead our Youth and Family Programs, overseeing After School Care, Summer Day Camp, Childwatch, Teen Leadership Programs, Membership, and Senior Programs. Sydney will take charge of Community Health, managing initiatives such as Diabetes Prevention, Exercise is Medicine, LIVESTRONG, Pedal and Rock Steady Boxing for Parkinson’s, Group Fitness, Member and Corporate Fitness, as well as Sports and Aquatic Programs. The Foothills Area YMCA is privileged to witness the advancement of Sarah and Sydney within our organization. With their outstanding leadership, we anticipate a bright future ahead. The Foothills Area YMCA is honored to receive a lead gift of $50,000 from Blue Ridge Bank for the Phase II expansion. “Our bank initially contributed $50,000 as a lead gift for the YMCA's initial construction.
