Rescue Food, Nourish Our Community.

About us

Food Link is the bridge between distributors and farms that have the capacity to donate fresh surplus food and community organizations that seek nutritious food for people who are in need. Our mission: Food Link is working to create a more equitable food system throughout Greater Boston by rescuing and distributing high-quality, customized food to under-resourced communities and by advocating for systems change. Our vision: Food Link envisions a world in which everyone has abundant nourishing food and a food system in which no edible food goes to waste.

FAVOR is a volunteer-run group that promotes food justice in Roslindale. We send 1,100 lbs. of food, or approximately 50 boxes, to FAVOR every Wednesday for their community food distribution.

There are just three days left to triple your impact! Donate through June 30th and two anonymous donors will double match your donation, turning your one dollar into three. Food access is a basic right, but it’s a right denied to far too many people within our inequitable food system. Give today, and you will support emergency efforts to alleviate hunger in your community. https://lnkd.in/epN9Y3-H

94% of the people served through Food Link’s partnerships live in low or very-low income households. During the school year, free school meals provide some financial relief for families with children; this summer, these households must try to make up the difference themselves. With a gift of just $120, you can deliver five boxes of food to provide meals to children. Give by June 30, and your donation will be double-matched by two anonymous donors. This year, our partners are requesting more food – including fresh produce – because more people are seeking their services than ever before. Supporters like you make it possible for us to provide rescued food to over 100 community organizations free of charge. Make a gift today, and it will go three times as far. Through June 30th, two anonymous donors will match each dollar 2 to 1! Donate now: https://lnkd.in/epN9Y3-H

A dollar doesn’t go as far at the grocery store as it used to. While we all feel the impact of these costs, your friends and neighbors facing food insecurity are especially vulnerable. Will you help us supply our community partners with free, high-quality, rescued food? Every dollar you give will be double-matched by two anonymous donors – turning 1 dollar into 3. Donate now to promote food access in your community: https://lnkd.in/epN9Y3-H
