About us

In the Flowing Wells School District, we appreciate that one size does NOT fit all. Each student has unique learning needs, so we offer a wide variety of programs to support students in their journey of learning. We believe that “Potential Finds Opportunity,” and we are committed to providing diverse learning experiences that inspire students to challenge themselves and discover their true talents. Led by the knowledge and drive of innovative educators, our district embraces the idea that it is our responsibility to prepare students to be productive global citizens. Therefore, we make it our mission to expose students to every path that could lead them to realize their potential – lead them to success. • Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Stephanie Miller to the Flowing Wells Governing Board! Appointed by Pima County School Superintendent Dustin Williams, she is filling the seat recently vacated by Tom Jacobs. Mrs. Miller is a proud parent of two Douglas Bulldogs. Her children have benefited from various programs offered through the district. She is impressed by the dedication and quality of instruction from our teachers and support staff. Her background as a social worker and therapist includes work in multiple practice settings within the behavioral health and child welfare systems. Her work has involved building a program for individuals entering young adulthood, supporting clients working towards wellness in a residential setting, training and supporting foster parents and kinship families, and providing therapy to individuals. She was born and raised in Arizona, attended K-12 public schools, and completed two degrees with state universities. She earned her bachelor's degree in Family Studies and Human Development from the University of Arizona, and her Master's in Social Work from Arizona State University. Her educational experience motivates her to be a voice of encouragement to students, teachers, support staff, and families. Mrs. Miller has served as the Treasurer for the Douglas Elementary Parent Teacher Organization and has been involved with the Flowing Wells Parent Advisory Council for over two years. Mrs. Miller looks forward to serving and supporting the Flowing Wells community.
