Purpose-Built Analytics for Manufacturing and Industry
About us
Manufacturers have invested millions of dollars in systems to capture and analyze operational data but have come up short of their goal – sharing useful information across their organization. Decision-makers deserve trustworthy information, and Flow Software ensures it’s available to them. Flow completes the final mile of your data journey, providing templatized data models, a robust calculation engine, and a gateway for your contextualized information to be accessed across your organization. Flow is ideal for building an information model of metrics to improve production efficiency, increase quality, drive maintenance decisions, measure utility or material consumption, understand downtime, and monitor adherence to production plans. Templatized Flow models are centrally managed, honoring enterprise-established business rules and providing governance, while remaining flexible. Operations deploy template instances and add their own site-specific context. Since Flow information models are not hard coded to specific data sources, each deployed instance is adaptable to the site’s environment, regardless of the system architecture. Flow’s data engine excels at KPI calculations and was built specifically to address the challenges found within manufacturing environments. Connect operational databases and servers to Flow and the engine is ready to join data points from different systems and databases, cleanse your data, and slice it into context rich KPIs. Flow handles the rerunning of calculations, versions results, and allows for KPI interrogation, even letting users drill down and examine the raw data within the original source. Trust is everything, and with Flow you can be confident that the information driving your daily meetings, supporting your people, and strengthening your operations is solid. With new calculations and KPIs created, Flow becomes your hub to share contextually rich information with applications and people at your plants and the entire enterprise.

Where has your focus been - 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 or 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭? Without a solid 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙮, we will always chase data and engineering governance, build fragile and unscalable analytics, and constantly duplicate costly integration work. Working with the largest brewer in the world has been an incredible experience and has taught our team so much! AB InBev has been a wonderful partner since the early days of the Flow solution, as have our great integration partners, Advansys (Pty) Ltd and Next Integration, and our distributor Element8.

KPIs are great... until they are based on bad data. But with a flexible tool that allows elevated users and groups to edit the variables powering the KPI, bad data can be avoided and teams can trust the source. This quick demo shows how a daily target can be adjusted after the fact, allowing management to account for the unknown factors that would typically keep a KPI from telling the entire truth, while also triggering other KPIs to automatically update. #singlesourceoftruth #KPIs4manufacturing #industry40 #digitaltransformation #uaf

Manually collected data is still a must for most processes. But we don't have to wait on the next sample to estimate a value. In this demo, provided by our partners at Streamline Control, we use inflow and outflow to project tank levels, but allow the user entered tank level measurement to be promoted as the official reading and override the projected value. #uaf #unifiedanalyticframework #oilandgas #midstream #tankfarm #industry40

Well said Dylan DuFresne! This is exactly the problem we seek to solve. Get the knowledge of your plant floor pros contextualized into the data stream before it arrives at the enterprise or cloud.
I have been hearing the same questions quite a bit lately. “How can I figure out where the data comes from?” “How can I figure out what the data means?” The answer is very simple, it comes from the plant floor. To add to that. If you do not know exactly where your data comes from, you probably need to spend more time with the people on the plant floor… After spending countless hours in front of machines and in the control rooms learning from the experts themselves - The operators. I can’t even count the times where I was in over my head, looking at a process or machine that I was unfamiliar with. With someone standing behind me asking when it would be back in production. So often, the operators were the ones to graciously help me to understand not only what was wrong, but how we can prevent it from going wrong again. Seriously, get to know the humans on the front lines and watch the magic happen.

Well optimization is crucial for an upstream oil and gas provider. Flow helps you tune your historical data so you can assess and adapt underproducing wells before it becomes a problem. Thank you to Streamline Control and Dan Lozie, CFA for lending your oil and gas expertise for this use case!

Yesterday we demonstrated how quickly you can move contextualize and normalized data from Flow to Snowflake during a webinar with our partners at Streamline Control. This strategy makes all of the historical data in your legacy or enterprise data historians and SQL databases immediately available to Snowflake, and it's EASY!
