Design. Build. Operate.
About us
Fleis & VandenBrink (F&V) is an employee-owned, multi-disciplined civil engineering firm with nine offices serving Michigan and Indiana. Our team encompasses a broad range of services designed to provide our clients with a one-stop-shop consultant. Providing a wide range of services allows us to design custom-fit solutions and award-winning projects - on time and on budget. Our growth has been an outcome of hiring the best people, doing great work, and focusing on client relationships. We believe great relationships are built over time through communication and an understanding of our client’s needs. We work collaboratively to gain that understanding by uncovering potential issues and concerns prior to beginning work. Knowledge of those critical success factors gives us agreed upon expectations and allows us to work together towards successful projects. We also understand the critical component funding has in turning a project vision into reality. Our team of funding experts actively pursues grants and low interest loan opportunities on behalf of our clients. We work diligently with state and federal organizations to find and obtain the best option for each project. Since our inception, we have obtained more than $1 billion in grants and low interest loans for our clients.

Last week was quite the fiesta for F&V and F&V Operations staff at conferences! Our water & wastewater engineers and operators attended the Michigan Water Environment Association Annual Conference, where the theme was “Holidays in the Hall.” Our usual booth was spiced up in Cinco de Mayo décor and treats. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say “hi!” Big congratulations to two staff who were honored at the MWEA Awards Banquet. Scott Hall was awarded the MWEA’s New Professional of the Year for his dedication, commitment, and contributions to the water environment field. Catherine Winn was awarded MWEA’s Doris Van Dam Operations Professional of the Year Award for her dedication to the professional growth of co-workers and the operations profession. We also had several environmental staff attending the American Institute of Professional Geologists workshop in Roscommon! They're already looking forward to next year!

Ever wonder what it take to clean a water tower? Well, now you know!
Even water towers need baths! Keeping a tower clean is good for appearance and shows pride in providing good quality water, but also helps with preventative maintenance. A clean tower helps us get a good look at the paint/coating to see if there are any problem areas, like we’ll be doing for this Ada Township water tower soon.
