Flambeau’s Mexico plant, which manufactures thermoplastic molded parts for the automotive and other industries, received the General Motors (GM) Supplier Quality Excellence Award on June 3, 2024. Flambeau’s associates at the Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico facility, are proud to receive this annual recognition from GM for the seventh time in 10 years. Only GM’s top performing suppliers receive this status, having met or exceeded a very stringent set of quality and logistics performance criteria. Just 27% of GM’s global supply base achieves this level of excellence. “Your commitment to quality is evident through countless hours spent refining processes, conducting rigorous inspections, and ensuring that every product delivered meets the highest standards,” said Rick Demuynck, executive director of GM’s global supplier quality and development, in an address to this year’s award winners. “I am happy Flambeau’s associates in Saltillo can be recognized in this way,” said Dario Aranda, Plant Manager at Plasticos Flambeau. “To be one of only a handful of GM suppliers to receive this award annually is truly gratifying.” The GM parts produced in Saltillo are ducts and duct assemblies used in its Cruise electric vehicle and its electric BrightDrop Zevo cargo vans.
