Intellectual Asset Management has once again recognized Fisch Sigler as a top-tier patent litigation firm and Alan Fisch as a world-leading patent litigator. As it has in each edition since 2014, the 2024 IAM-1000 Guide to the World’s Leading Patent Practitioners honored Fisch Sigler as a “top-tier” firm for “patent expertise.” The IAM Guide also recognized Alan Fisch in its gold tier—its highest ranking—for patent litigators in the world. Happy Pride Month! Our Constitution proudly says that we’re all “created equal,” and that we all have “certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” But even today, that promise of America has yet to fully materialize for all Americans. In the last two years alone, 48 different state legislatures have introduced over 1,200 bills limiting LBGTQ+ rights and freedoms. And currently, businesses and hotels may deny LGBTQ+ people service in 23 states. We look forward to a time when “We the People” means all people. And while it may take more time than it should, we remain confident that in the end, love will win.

After over 500 days of attempting to negotiate a license to its patents with Apple, our client 5G IP Holdings sued Apple for willfully infringing three standard essential patents covering 5G cellular network technology. In response to our complaint detailing the over two dozen pre-suit communications between the parties about a license, Apple moved to dismiss a subset of the counts, arguing in part that Apple has no obligation to negotiate a fair, reasonable, and non-discriminatory license to 5G IP’s patents. Fisch Sigler Superstar Jeffrey Saltman commented to Law360 that his team disagrees with Apple’s arguments. Jeff added: "We look forward to the next steps in the case."
