Today, our scholars wrapped up their pre-college retreat! The teens spent this week exploring PGA TOUR Headquarters, engaging in a service project, hearing from amazing speakers and gaining valuable advice for college success! 📚 We wish them the best of luck as they begin their new journeys and can’t wait to see everything this scholar class accomplishes! 👏

Erika Dierke has been a participant at First Tee - Minnesota for 14 years, along with being a coach and a member of the newest scholar class! ✨ In high school, Erika was the co-chair of Youth in Government, growing the club from 5 members to 50! She was also a member of the Superintendent’s Council and a resident assistant and companion at Catholic Eldercare. With a passion for sports, she aspires to work in sports media. She said, “Because of First Tee, I’ve become a better golfer and a more capable and confident individual, ready to take on challenges both on and off the course.” Erika is spending this week at the First Tee Scholar’s Pre-College Retreat before she begins her journey at the University of Mississippi this Fall! 👏

As they prepare to begin their own college journeys, First Tee scholars spent Tuesday at Jacksonville University! They engaged in a student panel, campus scavenger hunt, and heard from the dean of student affairs. Then they wrapped up the day at the Saint Augustine Alligator Farm! Looking forward to what the rest of this week brings for our scholars!

This week the Participant Advisory Council visited First Tee headquarters in Ponte Vedra, Florida! The teens engaged in conversations with First Tee employees, enjoyed fun activities and further developed the relationship between the participant and programming! 💛 Thank you to these teens for a great week!
