Since 2021, we have been working hand-in-hand with Cradles to Crayons® to fight diaper need, providing more than 20 million diapers and 10 million baby wipes to families across the United States. To mark the ongoing partnership, Cradles to Crayons hosted a volunteer event last month for our team members and their families at the Cradles to Crayons Giving Factory® in Philadelphia (Cradles to Crayons Philadelphia). To date, more than 120 First Quality team members have volunteered at the location, spending over 300 hours sorting, cleaning, and repacking donated items, as well as helping to distribute thousands of diapers to partner organizations. "Clothing is a basic human right, and diapers are a child’s very first item of essential clothing. And yet, each year, 1 in 2 families across the U.S. experiences diaper need,” said Lynn Margherio, founder and CEO of Cradles to Crayons. A huge shoutout to our partners at Moisson Montréal and Monthly Dignity as we celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day! Since 2019, we’ve teamed up with them to make menstrual products more accessible in the fight against period poverty. In the last 5 years, Moisson Montreal has distributed over 100,000 kilograms (more than 220,000 pounds!) of our essential products to local agency partners like Monthly Dignity. We are thrilled to announce the location of our diaper manufacturing expansion will be at our facility in Macon, GA! As a result of this expansion, we'll be able to increase our baby diaper and training pant manufacturing capacity by 50 percent. “First Quality has been a strong community partner in Macon-Bibb County for many years. We are proud that they have chosen to solidify their presence and demonstrate their continued commitment by not only securing hundreds of existing jobs, but also by creating hundreds of new jobs and investing millions of dollars in new infrastructure,” said Macon Mayor Lester Miller.
