But according to Alberto Galassi, the CEO of Ferretti Yachts: “Brand is more important than the product.” Chanel’s No. 5 is more than a fragrance. It evokes the story, personality, and allure of Coco Chanel herself. You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation. Of course, the product needs to be extraordinary. But the product alone is not enough. To appeal to younger generations... You need a brand, a story, an identity.     The biggest brands go to battle. Pepsi vs Coca-Cola  Burger vs McDonald’s And now… Samsung vs Apple. We all know Apple’s latest flop; the “Crushed” ad. People were not impressed by the destruction of beautiful creative symbols. Even celebs like Hugh Grant were horrified. And Samsung Electronics jumped on the opportunity 👇 Their recent ad pushed back and ended with the powerful tagline, “𝘊𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥”. Participating in brand banter is a risky move that can backfire. But Samsung's response was 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝘁𝗹𝗲 and 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆. The ad also works just fine on its own. Healthy competition drives innovation. It is crucial to build momentum and a long-lasting market presence. But how does it differ from general marketing? 𝟭.     In 2023, American consumers spent 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗘 online (63%) vs in-store (37%).  A hurdle for Walmart and their 4,700+ stores in the US.     Scarlett Johansson said she turned down OpenAI‘s request. But why does ChatGPT's Sky sound so much like her? OpenAI recently introduced voices to ChatGPT. Each of ChatGPT’s voices was sampled from actors. OpenAI says Sky’s voice belongs to a different actress. Nevertheless, OpenAI removed Sky but only after a team of lawyers was brought in. This isn't the first time Johansson had an issue with AI. She sued Lisa AI, an image generation app, for using her likeness in marketing materials without permission.     Procter & Gamble’s Mother’s Day campaign is a 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴… Brought to life with the help of Wieden + Kennedy, P&G created an authentic connection between: 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦 & 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘖𝘭𝘺𝘮𝘱𝘪𝘤 𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘦𝘴.
