About us
Fireside Dental Co. is a unique and engaging membership community of independent Pediatric dentists and the vision of Dr. Jeff Flannery. After working at an orphanage and street child ministry in Mexico, Dr. Jeff decided to become a pediatric dentist. He attended the University of Southern California School of Dentistry and later completed his pediatric specialty at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. After starting his pediatric dental practice in Birmingham, AL in 2016, he experienced the difficulty of balancing the operational, financial, and clinical components needed to run a successful pediatric dental office. It took extreme intentionality to provide excellent dental care to children while also taking care of employees and creating a positive, caring culture in the office. With limited free time and purchasing power, maximizing practice profits was difficult. These time demands also limited his opportunities to foster meaningful relationships with his peers or give back to his community. Desiring a better system for current and future pediatric dentists, Dr. Flannery decided to act. He partnered with successful healthcare entrepreneurs John Bell and Bart Yancey, with whom he had longstanding personal and professional relationships to launch Fireside. Next, he hand-selected a group of like-minded pediatric dentists to participate in designing and testing the company’s service offerings. The result: a one-of-a-kind organization specifically created to meet the needs of independent Pediatric dentists that focuses on three core pillars: Profitability, Community, and Purpose.
