This video provides an insightful look into the common field practices associated with US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)’s Low Flow Groundwater Sampling Procedure and exposes some of the shortcomings of the traditional approach and how they can be fully addressed with the incorporation of the FieldSink® Environmental Sampling Station. It is important to note that the intent of the FieldSink is not to replace this well-accepted procedure, but rather to strengthen it, by improving how the procedure is carried out by technicians in the field.  Though relatively simple in concept, the FieldSink was painstakingly designed by a field technician with two decades of hands-on experience and a driven focus on improving: 1.     Sample integrity and quality control to increase data confidence; 2.     Sampling efficiency to reduce fieldwork labor and costs; and, 3.     Sampling safety and waste accountability to increase worker protection while reducing risk of contaminant release to the environment.
