This is a testament to the work that our team is delivering to make a difference,” said Kelly, who now leads the seventh-largest Black-owned commercial bank in the United States. "This prestigious award honors our shareholders, board of directors, management team, and our customers and for that, I am grateful.” As a Michigan and Northwest Ohio regional award winner, Kelly is now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2024 National Awards. Entrepreneur Of The Year recognizes many different types of business leaders for their ingenuity, courage, and entrepreneurial spirit. As we reflected on #Juneteenth today with the rest of our nation, we wanted to share our sincere gratitude to the individuals throughout history who have and continue to pave the way toward bringing justice and equality to our world. June 19th, 1865 was not only a pivotal moment in world history but also a true representation of the endless possibilities that could exist, be achieved, and be experienced by all minorities. In continuing to remember the freedom given to the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas on this day in 1865, we also want to celebrate and honor the strength of so many then and those today who continue to work towards bringing equality, justice, and opportunities to each and every Black American as well as to all minorities.
