Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis reposted this
Are we in a high pressure labor market for lower earning workers right now? Our view is, not particularly, no. Pressure of late 2010's that compressed the earnings distributions seems to have faded, with implications for inflation and possibly where we are in the cycle. More in my Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis research note with @JeffHorwich and Ken Cowles.

We are thrilled to have a wonderful cohort of interns working with us this summer. Meet Christina Spicher. Christina is a rising senior at Macalester College, majoring in economics. She is an intern with our Community Development and Engagement team and the Center for Indian Country Development (CICD). Christina looks forward to learning more about how the Fed contributes to the prosperity of low- to moderate-income communities and is enjoying the opportunity to contribute to that work through research and data collection. In her free time she enjoys cooking, listening to podcasts, and spending time outdoors. #Interns #2024SummerInterns

Ron Wirtz and Joe Mahon share the highlights, low-lights, and colorful language from our constant pursuit of regional economic insights. (It might be the "Beige Book," but it's anything but colorless. Every six weeks, just before Fed officials meet in DC, our regional economists produce this summary of conditions in our district. Start with our video, then head to the full version for more. https://bit.ly/468eXa2) #BeigeBook #RegionalEconomy #NinthDistrict
