We are so pleased to support The Gemini Foundation, helping promote financial literacy for local youth in the Florida area. With our grant, the foundation was able to provide young leaders with Bitcoin to begin investing in their futures.

As a foundation, we continue to strive to reach greater heights and that also applies to our fundraising efforts to support deserving non-profits. At the April FAT Brands Summit, we had the ultimate silent auction item, the chance to ride in a real fighter jet. In partnership with Afterburner and No Fallen Heroes, we are so pleased to have given Chris Ludemann-Davis the ride of a lifetime while also helping assist with alternate therapies to treat veterans, first responders and their families recover from PTSD.

Every year, PRNEWS' Top Women Awards celebrate PR's most remarkable achievers. These women are supportive, innovative, inspiring women making an impact on their organization, whether that's leading the brand out of a crisis, breaking into new markets, engaging a new audience, or mentoring other colleagues. FAT Brands Foundation Board Member and FAT Brands Inc. Senior Director of Communications, Erin Mandzik, was named an Honoree for the 2024 PRNEWS Top Women In-House Innovators Category. Congratulations, Erin. Your work for the Foundation and FAT Brands is recognized, appreciated, and award-winning! https://lnkd.in/gJGmSHTM

We are pleased to announce that we supported two education focused organizations in March, Junior Achievement of Southern California and Stiletto Boss University. Educating youth is integral for a brighter future and we are thrilled to help support these deserving organizations.

We are so proud of our President Jessica Wiederhorn, MBA for being named as Los Angeles Business Journal’s Emerging Non-Profit Executive of the Year, Award Honoree. Since the formation of the foundation, Jessica’s steadfast leadership has been integral in taking the FAT Brands Foundation to new heights! The foundation was also named as a nominee for Non-Profit of the Year. We are so grateful to be recognized for our efforts and commitment to making an impact in FAT Brands’ communities. I have been involved in several philanthropic endeavors over the years through volunteering and giving. I do it because it feels good. I do it because it helps our communities. I do it because I hope to inspire others to do it too. To be recognized for these passion projects is an absolute honor and joy… I have to thank Erin Mandzik for nominating me as the LABJ Emerging Non-Profit Executive of the Year for both FAT Brands Foundation and SoS, and Fat Brands Foundation as Non-Profit of the Year. Both the Foundation and I were nominees going into this year’s program, but to my surprise (and one I was unprepared for! I had to give a speech!), I was announced as a finalist, and then the Award Honoree. Thank you for this award and honor, Los Angeles Business Journal. It was an added bonus to attend the luncheon and see so many Fat Brands Foundation grant recipients like @Pathways LA, Junior Achievement of Southern California, Easterseals Southern California, and Los Angeles Mission with nominations and winning awards themselves for the work that they’ve done in the LA community. Added bonus: running into my old pal at FedEx, Mary Gonzales, who also won in her category! Everyone knows you don’t do it alone. I am so thankful for the boards that serve both Fat Brands Foundation and SoS and all of our respective volunteers. Thank you to FAT Brands Inc., for generously funding the Foundation and all of our supplier partners and donors in the past 18 months. Lastly I’m thankful for my husband Andy Wiederhorn. None of this would be possible without him. He has backed and supported me with all of this since day one. He has had to deal with me working off hours (during our free time) and sees my drive and devotion and embraces it all. Yesterday, our President Jessica Wiederhorn, MBA had the perfect paw-ty! After hearing about a chihuahua that was found living under FAT Brands Inc.'s Round Table Pizza in Novato, CA, she had to adopt him with Andy Wiederhorn. To celebrate his adoption and the work of Marin Humane, who rescued him, the location had a Pepperoni Party. This included the store donating a percentage of proceeds to the cause in addition to a $10,000 donation from the FAT Brands Foundation. We love coming together with our community to rally behind causes like this. Thank you to KRON 4 News for bringing this sweet story to our attention: https://lnkd.in/eQxN4cRu.

Thank you to our key supporters, FAT Brands Inc., franchisees and partners, who provided valuable donations, silent auction items and their time at the 2024 FAT Brands Summit. We exceeded our $75,000 fundraising goal on-site, which was then matched with an additional $50,000 donation by FAT Brands Inc., bringing the grand total to over $130,000. We are so grateful for your support as we continue our work across FAT Brands' communities. https://lnkd.in/e5VqCV6n
