Thank you Kiddie Academy for your generous donation of over 100 birthday boxes towards Family Promise of Greater Denver. These birthday boxes contain cake mix, frosting, candles, birthday hats, a table cloth, napkins, spoons, and a personalized birthday card….all items for the perfect birthday party! Families facing homelessness are already going through enough hardships as is and not having the ability or resources to celebrate their child’s birthday would only add to the stress. Everyone deserves their birthday to be celebrated! Thank you to everyone who came out to help put these boxes together and make a child’s birthday a special one! #endhomelessness #nonprofit #birthdayboxes

Just because we have passed the half way point of June doesn't mean the celebration for pride month needs to slow down! We hope that everyone who celebrates pride month has had a great month thus far and continues the celebrations for the rest of the month and beyond. The LGBTQIA+ community has made tremendous strides throughout the years which is why at Family Promise we wanted to take this time to wish all of those who celebrate a Happy Pride Month. While celebration is important, so is action. We can all take action to make sure our workplaces and communities are more inclusive for those part of the LGBTQIA+ community. #happypridemonth #nonprofit

Happy Father's Day! Happy father's day to all of the single father's, fathers in our programs, and to every father beyond that. However you choose to celebrate your special day, we hope you feel loved and appreciated! In preparation for Father's Day, some of the kids in our shelter program decorated ties for their dad. Thank you BNI Metro Referral Matrix for donating these ties! #happyfathersday #nonprofit #endhomelessness

Recently Family Promise of Greater Denver participated in Big Serve Day with the The Church of Latter Day Saints and SAINT ANDREW'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH - DENVER at our static site Holy Shepard. On this day, volunteers assisted us in cleaning and organizing the closet at our Static Site which was must needed! After Big Serve Day, one of the volunteers reached out to us with the following statement - "Thank you for providing an opportunity for us to see the awesome place you’ve made for people in need. It was a wonderful morning and we felt so lucky to meet you and feel like we could help in a small way. Thank you for all you do to be a light in the world!" Thank you everyone who participated in this event and for making a difference in the families that we serve! Are you looking for your next volunteer opportunity and help families in need?
