While these online resources can be convenient and helpful, they can't replace one-on-one speech therapy with a licensed speech-language pathologist. Sure, your toddler might pick up new words from a video, but true speech and language development happens through interactive, back-and-forth communication with a caring adult. 🌟 Fun fact 🌟 You can practice speech and language with your child during daily routines you’re already doing. For many parents, wearing their baby or toddler in a carrier is a regular routine. Check out these simple tips for building your child's communication skills while you carry them: ☀️ Talk out loud about what you’re doing: “We are walking to the store. It’s a beautiful day! Let’s go inside.” 🤪 Look at your child and make silly faces and noises 💞 Practice specific words related to actions in the carrier: “Bounce” them or “spin” around slowly 🚙 Practice environmental sounds while you’re outside: “Beep beep!
