When we take Leaps, we're bound to face the unexpected. That's when owning your pivots is most important. In this week's Wednesday Words, Erin Murphy reflects on reframing goals and staying agile when things don't go how you plan, and how our Leapers at Kraft Heinz did that just this last May. Read it in our newsletter below, or head to our blog for the full piece: https://lnkd.in/gSdz_DQ8 Happy Wednesday! #lifelonglearning #learninganddevelopment #taketheleap #workplacelearning #corporatelearning #futureoflearning #futureofwork #learning

If you’re battling burnout, this 29th Gift is for you. With summer in full swing, you might start to get a few more moments of rest. But if you’re fighting burnout, instead of being resets, these breaks might reveal how exhausted and overloaded you’ve become at work. Building resilience is more important for you now than ever. A few years ago, we led an experiment called Playlists, where we designed bite-sized learning experiences meant to fit easily into the day of a busy learner. We focused on a key skill for the modern workplace: resilience. As our June 29th Gift to you, we’re sharing some of our most impactful Resilience Playlist experiences for free. They’ll help you combat burnout, recenter on your values, and build protection against future stress. These activities slot right into your day-to-day, so you can build resilience with whatever time you have available. Fun, challenging, and impactful, these activities range from less than 20 minutes to daily habits meant to be done for a whole year, and are designed so you can jump immediately into an experience with minimal planning. [ENG] I thought I would have stage-fright. 100 people to 1 facilitator - me - is a ratio I hadn't experienced before. I prepared notes and all, a PDF downloaded on my Kindle, don't go ruin the vibe by holding a lame sheet of paper or your phone in your hands. But there's something in Antonio Prata's chronicle that comforts me. There's so much heart in it that the moment I read a snippet of it to the participants of the Leap Workshop, it feels like homecoming. For me and those there with me and with Florens. The audience's response was so beautiful (thank you!) that I felt like I was back in the classroom. In my old classroom, to be precise, where I used to feel that in reality - as if a kept secret - even though I was the teacher, I was the one learning and having the most fun of all. Time flew by, smiles did too, of course there was a lot of hands-on and sharing and many Post-It ideas at the end. I adored it! Even exhausted from the small Workshops "tour" of the past months, I left the event feeling recharged, hungry for more. RIO2C team, thank you for the trust until the very end, agreeing to last-minute changes to align with the moment's calling - the approach of student-centered learning requires some dose of improv ;) Experience Institute - Erin Murphy, Victor Saad, thank you for the inspiration and partnership. This Leap metaphor is a gift, just perfect for igniting the learning and development of creative professionals. To more moments like this ✨🦘✨

CEO @ Experience Institute | helping companies develop lifelong learners

Recently, I learned to tap dance. Why? To mark this Leap year, I set out on a challenge: 12 mini Leaps, each meeting the following criteria:    ✅ It must be an ongoing pursuit (not just a quick task).    ✅ It must push me out of my comfort zone.    ✅ It must be something I've never done before. The goal? Embrace a beginner’s mindset and have some fun. I'm halfway through and have explored:    👯 Tap dance lessons    🛵 Obtaining a motorcycle license    🇫🇷 Starting to learn French A month dedicated to each has shown pretty impressive progress, and while I'm not writing novels in French yet, I can confidently ask for the nearest patisserie. Priorities, right? Each activity, though different, has reminded me of the power of learning by doing. And why, at Experience Institute our programs are grounded in Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory, which posits that knowledge is created through the transformation that comes from experience. Engaging learners in direct experiences and focused reflection fosters more profound understanding and skill acquisition. Our programs provide participants the opportunity to: 🛠 Experiment with a new concept, framework, or mindset. ✍ Apply the new knowledge gained. 🤔 Reflect & identify opportunities to utilize lessons in the future. As summer approaches and (hopefully!) offers you some time off, consider this a chance to pause, reflect, and evaluate where you want to grow. Maybe it’s learning a new skill like sailing, cooking a complicated dish, basic German, or SQL. Perhaps it’s exploring a new mindset or habit. What do you want to learn next? PS. CEO @ Experience Institute | helping companies develop lifelong learners

"What risk will you take that will change your life, the community, or the world for the better?" Back in 2011, Experience Institute founder Victor Saad issued that simple yet profound invitation that altered the course of my life. At its core, Ei is about inspiring continuous growth through learning experiences that edge participants out of their comfort zones. As the new CEO, I'm committed to upholding that mission while breaking the mold of traditional learning models. This week, in Wednesday Words, I share more about how answering that question led me to where I am today. And next week, the team and I will share more about the future of Ei’s learning programs. But for now, let me leave you with Victor's powerful invitation: What small risk can you take today to positively change your life or the lives around you? https://lnkd.in/dZ-T4Qen  #LifelongLearning #Leadership #CareerTransformation #ExperientialLearning #Transition

It's a big day at Experience Institute. Here's the update from Victor Saad: I started Ei in 2012 when I was just 26 years old. Fresh off of my “self designed Masters,” I was ready to take on the world with a new kind of learning. Over the past dozen years, the company has evolved and matured. We’ve worked to create a solid business that is financially sustainable, independently owned, and focused on the mission of helping leaders and teams grow through Leaps — a process we built from the ground up. Today, I’m immensely proud to say that Ei is healthier than ever. Now it’s time to support our next chapter of growth. Next week, I’ll be stepping down as CEO of Experience Institute. And the really exciting news is that the incoming CEO is already part of the team! Sara Loncka has been a longtime friend who formally joined Ei in 2021. Over the past three years, she’s helped grow Ei’s workplace learning business. Under Sara’s care, our learning experiences have become more rigorous, impactful, and memorable. I’ve seen her ability to focus on customers while also thinking about the health of a solid, sustainable business. She has the trust of our entire community — from our global clients, to our incredible team, to our caring advisors. I could go on, but you get the picture. Ei is in great hands. Of course, Sara won’t be doing this alone. Today, there is a tight, core team that leads Ei’s daily operations and a network of world-class instructional designers, facilitators, and coaches. When a company chooses to work with Experience Institute, they’re working with a group of people who aim to be true partners — hyper-organized, customer-focused, and aptly experienced in helping teams work better together through experiential learning. While everyone is trying to convince you that an async video course, or an app is going to develop your people, we’ll be here to show the power of live learning, coaching, and self-directed projects that connect the content back to the learner’s daily life and work. This is a one-of-a-kind shop that helps teams take Leaps forward, together. As for me, I’ll be shifting to an advisory role as Chairman of the Board. As part of that work, I’ll build a community of advisors from the arenas of Talent Development, Leadership Development, Org Design, and Executive Education. More on that soon. For now, whether you’ve been here since the beginning or you just joined, *thank you* for being part of this journey. I really do feel like I won the lottery over the past 12 years. And that's because of you. Now, as we prepare for this transition, I’m collecting notes for Sara and the Ei team. Can you share more about what you’re excited to learn or experience next? What challenges are you currently facing in your work where Ei might support? Just leave your thoughts here sometime in the next week: https://lnkd.in/gG86Tf2w. Can't wait to hear from you! Here's to our next Leaps, together. - Victor
