My favorite thing to do as an accountant is to consult with small business owners on their finances. Helping entrepreneurs understand their finances and maneuver through financial challenges is truly a passion of mine. Which is why I was THRILLED to provide free technical assistance to women-owned small businesses at the #2024CultivateSummit hosted by Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif). Thanks to all who attended. It was a fantastic event!!! #technicalassistance #financialliteracy #smallbusiness #entrepreneur

My heart is still full from this year's second annual Cultivate Summit! The Enterprising Women of Color DMV Business Center powered by Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif) along with other sponsors PNC and Carefirst proudly presented an inspiring event with the theme "Leading with Intention." We made authentic connections and engaged deeply with women entrepreneurs. Keynotes from Charis Jones and Terrand Smith and our very own CEO Shannan Herbert, along with insightful panels, provided valuable resources and learning opportunities. This summit empowered women founders to move from daily operations to strategic leadership roles. Job well done Marisela Rodela and the Wacif staff. Thank you to everyone who attended and made this event unforgettable. Let's continue to lead with intention! #EWOCCultivate2024 #WomenEntrepreneurs #EWOC #Wacif

What an AWESOME event! Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif) Enterprising Women of Color DMV Business Center #CultivateSummit - Women Leading with Intention was informative, inspirational, and just fun! Definitely the first time I attended a Summit with a dance party DJ networking session to complement the keynote from Charis Jones of Sassy Jones Brand, a personal branding session with Madia Brown and insights on Accelerators and Incubators in the DMV and on-site technical assistance. 💖 It filled my heart to connect and reconnect with so many women who have been bright spots and guide posts in my own career and entrepreneur journey. Inspiring. Transformative. Life-changing. These are just a few of the words participants used to describe last week's convening of women entrepreneurs at the Cultivate Summit, hosted by The Enterprising Women of Color (EWOC) Center at Wacif. The sessions and panels, centered around this year's theme of "Leading with Intention," allowed us to share our stories of success and failure and provided a nurturing space for every woman in the room to ask questions and share her dreams. I am deeply grateful to the entire team at Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif) and Enterprising Women of Color DMV Business Center for organizing such a thoughtful and enriching program. Thank you to our partners and sponsors, our keynote speakers, and every woman that showed up ready to step into her purpose. #EWOCcultivatesummit2024 #womenentrepreneurs #leadingwithintention
