We are excited to share that Spencer Whitman, Ph.D., Aquarry CTO and Cofounder, has been selected as a fellow for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s Lab-Embedded Entrepreneurship Program (LEEP)! 🌟 Spencer will join 32 other innovators in this prestigious program, which embeds entrepreneurs in U.S. national laboratories to advance next-generation technologies. During this two-year program with West Gate at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, he will tackle global warming and environmental contamination with pit lake alkalinity enhancement, a scalable technology that adapts ocean carbon dioxide removal techniques to pit lakes, offering a cheaper, easier solution for cleaning up contaminated mine sites.
