For over 85 years, Goya Foods has been a proud supporter of nearly 300 charitable endeavors, programs, scholarships, and events that promote culture and benefit overall community wellness. This year, we were thrilled to participate in Goya Gives Day, where we packed 400 meals worth of food to be distributed in our Community Kitchen. These meals are critical in serving families and individuals facing food insecurity. The event made a significant impact, not only providing immediate relief but also raising awareness about the ongoing challenge of hunger in our area. Our involvement strengthened our relationship with Goya Foods and the broader network of charitable endeavors they support, positioning us to continue making meaningful contributions to community wellness. #Evasvillage #Goyagives #Goya #Feedthehungry #Giveback #Donate #Philanthropy #Paterson #NJ

In 1884, a Paterson, a NJ pharmacist named Benjamin Kent created a drink he called Coca-Cola, inspired by an 1883-1884 Fredrick Stern catalog. This was a year before Frank Mason Robinson named John Pemberton's drink Coca Cola. Like Pemberton's, Kent's Coca-Cola was marketed primarily as a hangover remedy, featuring a label promising to rejuvenate tired and exhausted individuals. However, Kent's drink had a unique twist—it included caffeine, cocaine, and a splash of whiskey. The syrup was enjoyed with soda water, and became quite popular in Paterson. Unfortunately, due to some bad legal advice, Kent, lost the patent rights to Coca-Cola and was bought out in 1894 for just $400, despite hoping for $10,000. #Evasvillage #Cocacola #funhistoryfact #patersonproud #jerseyproud #nj

It might sound unbelievable, but it's true! In botanical terms, a berry is a fleshy fruit produced from a single ovary, which fits bananas, pumpkins, and lemons perfectly. On the other hand, raspberries are aggregate fruits because they form from multiple ovaries. Join us in sharing this fun fact today! Not only will you impress your friends, but you'll also help spread a little knowledge about the fascinating world of fruits. 🍌🎃🍋 #EvasVillage #FruitFacts #Botany #DidYouKnow #FunFact #LearningTogether #SpreadKnowledge
