Weir’s Brazil crew in Betim knows a thing or two about pounding the pavement. Introducing “run club.” It’s the latest health and wellbeing initiative, one of many, that encourages employees to get running and enjoy the camaraderie that comes from cheering others on. To supplement their training regimens, a series of interactive workshops have also encouraged best practice-sharing for healthy eating and mobility. For the second consecutive year, we hosted ESCO’s mobile casting booth at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) for “Pride at the Museum,” held 21 June. We were delighted to partner with our employee affinity group, the Weir Pride Alliance – Portland chapter, and show support for our LGBTQ+ community. Ten passionate employee volunteers, including ESCO Division President, Sean Fitzgerald, created more than 100 keychains, which were designed exclusively for the event by Design Engineer, Basti Gumapas-Condol, and Senior Design Engineer, Nicole LaTourette .
