We are so proud of Peter and the compassion he shows every one of our clients! 💙

This month, we wrapped up a 5-week lunch-and-learn #ASL course hosted by our very own Endeavors Unlimited team! 👏 The course was led by the brilliant minds in our Endeavors Unlimited division, which employs many people with varying hearing impairments who use ASL as their main form of communication, in addition to interpretation services and closed captions. By bringing ASL education into our training line-up, we can foster better communication and teamwork across our teams. Housing is so much more than just having a place to rest your head. It's the first step in securing the safety and confidence our clients need to tackle bigger obstacles that are holding them back. 🏠 Once our clients have a roof over their heads, they're able to focus on things like improving their health, furthering their education, and going back to work so they can get back on their feet. 🙌 Securing housing allows clients like Monte to achieve goals and conquer obstacles that they never thought possible before, and is the reason we prioritize housing first. 💙

As many of us enjoy a fun-filled holiday this Fourth of July, it’s important to remember that holidays can mean very different things for different folks. For some, it means grilling outdoors and spending time with family and friends, and for others, it can be a reminder of painful memories. ❤️🩹 Fireworks can be a trauma reminder for people who have experienced combat, explosions, fires, gun violence, or loud noises, and can trigger post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms in veterans specifically. It's #PTSDAwarenessDay, and we're here to help make it clear that PTSD affects every single individual differently and how important it is to support our loved ones living with PTSD. 💙 Take Javi's story of hope, for example: After serving in the military for 10 years, and despite his successful law enforcement career, Javi was plagued by severe post-traumatic stress from his time overseas, accompanied by paralyzing anxiety, nightmares, and sleepless weeks and months. Javier’s experiences left him feeling alone and disconnected. He was struggling with homelessness when his brother introduced him to Endeavors, where he was connected to housing assistance, mental health care, and employment opportunities.
