We are technologists - a team of scientists, engineers, and big thinkers. All united in our passion to make sense of the complexity of biology. This is our story - a fresh look at how we make the impossible, possible. Join us as we Unlimit Biology™. www.encodia.com
About us
Encodia is developing an innovative Next-Gen digital proteomics platform to enable democratized protein sequencing. Our goal is to make protein sequencing easy and ubiquitous by using a novel reverse-translation technology that turns peptide sequences into DNA. The DNA can be read by an NGS DNA sequencer, providing a path to breakthrough proteomics research at a scale that is not practical or cost-effective using current technologies.

Spotlight on Encodia hero Yan Su as she answers, “Why I omic”. Yan Su received her Ph.D. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she delved into the fascinating world of molecular biology. Her research focused on unraveling the molecular mechanisms of DNA endonuclease ERCC1-XPF in nucleotide excision repair, a process closely associated with the rare human disease Xeroderema Pigmentosum. During her postdoc time in Vanderbilt University, she applied enzyme kinetics assays and X-ray crystallography to investigate the catalytic mechanism of human DNA polymerase eta. In 2018, Yan’s passion for innovation and her commitment to advancing scientific knowledge led her to join Encodia. Yan firmly believes that proteomics holds the key to unlocking crucial insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying human diseases. By bridging the gap between proteins and DNA, Encodia's technology has the potential to offer invaluable information for clinical diagnoses and transformative advancements in medical research. Excited and driven, Yan is eager to contribute to this groundbreaking field and empower researchers in their quest to improve human health. #whyiomic
