This week, our interim Chief Medical Officer Dr. Anthony Marinello, welcomed attendees to the NYC Cardiac Rehab breakfast. The collaborative hosted a panel discussion to address cardiac rehabilitation participation rates in New York City. “Only 15.4% of eligible New Yorkers complete one session of cardiac rehabilitation following a cardiac event," Dr. Marinello commented in his remarks. "The CDC goal is 70% participation in cardiac rehab. So, you can see, we have a lot of work to do to improve our participation rates. At EmblemHealth, we’re excited about the paradigm shift in access to cardiac rehab across the city.”
