This month, we’d like to recognize Ana Hayes, our Central Valley Operations Manager. Ana is known for being dedicated, selfless, and passionate at Elevo. “Ana has always gone above and beyond for every program she has ever launched. Whether she’s at the beach launching full service in Monterey, in the dry heat launching a sports program in Bakersfield, or a small little town like Delano launching a full service program with 300+ kiddos, she is still running her other programs. She has always supported our program in Visalia with tournaments, staff support, and peer support! She leads her Bakersfield team by example and is always wanting to collaborate. She is the epitome of a team player! She is a yes girl and has always been. 🌟 Last week, the Elevo Learning full time team gathered in picturesque Monterey, CA for our annual company trip, and what an incredible experience it was! Special thank you to Nicholas Telford and Christopher Murphy, Co-CEOs for championing this event! 🍊 Our journey began with the vibrant “Orange Out for Elevo” welcome reception where we celebrated not only our unity but also the rich cultural heritage of the region with mesmerizing Cumbia dancers and festive cuisine. 🚀 At our All Hands Meeting, we took pride in reflecting on our achievements over the past school year. Hearing stories from our colleagues about the profound impact they made on students and the communities we serve was truly inspiring and one of my favorite moments! 🎉 We also had a great time at our beach party, where we danced to a mariachi band, played spirited games, and connected with our colleagues over some s’mores as the sun set. 🤝 The trip was also packed with exciting team-building events and activities: a thrilling scavenger hunt, scenic hikes, beach flag football, a visit to the aquarium, wine tasting, and friendly and competitive golf and pickleball matches! 🌍 Coming together in person allowed us to align on the vision, priorities, and roadmap for 2024-2025 as well as create unforgettable memories.  I am incredibly proud and grateful for our team that leads with so much heart and an unwavering commitment to partnering with districts, schools, parents, teachers, administrators, and the broader community to transform and impact the countless lives of students. This month, we’d like to highlight Coach David Monorez, who serves the students of Fontana. David spoke from the heart when asked about his reason behind being an Elevo coach: “I would have to say that being a coach is profoundly important to me because it allows me to positively impact the lives of others. Being there for the kids is always a top priority. When we show up, they show up. Running special games for them or simply having conversations with the kids is extremely important. It’s such a gratifying experience seeing their faces light up because you remembered a detail about them or played one of their favorite games. This job has given me the chance to support kids who really need it. The special connections we make truly help shape the individuals of tomorrow.
