Did you know that some Medicare Advantage plans now offer a grocery allowance? “In most cases, enrollees receive a prepaid card, often called a Medicare food card. Your grocery allowance is typically credited to the card on a monthly basis,” shares eHealth, Inc.’s Whitney Stidom. U.S. News Health spoke with Whitney, as well as eHealth, Inc.’s Bob Rees, to get their expertise on how this benefit can help eligible beneficiaries afford nutritious food. #medicare #foodsecurity #ehealth #medicareadvantage #grocery #benefit

Is it time to rethink employer-sponsored healthcare? eHealth, Inc.'s Bree Bacon asks that question in an article published today in Forbes. The answer may lie with an individual coverage health reimbursement arrangement, or ICHRA for short. Between 2023 and 2024, ICHRA adoption increased nearly 30%, and government estimates project millions could be enrolled in ICHRA plans in the coming years. As Bree notes, at eHealth, we help employers understand if ICHRA is right for them. We’ve saved thousands of dollars per year for employers compared to traditional group health coverage, while helping their employees enroll in coverage and supporting them with online tools and licensed benefits advisors throughout their healthcare journey. Annual health plan renewal notices for employers are just around the corner in August and September. If employers experience sticker shock at the rising costs of providing healthcare to their employees, we are here to help with ICHRA plans or other solutions that not only save costs but give their employees much-needed access to affordable, quality health care. #ICHRA #healthcare #groupinsurance

We applaud the decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to temporarily retain CY2024 agent compensation rates for CY2025. While we were not of the opinion that the original 2025 compensation guidelines applied to eHealth, we’re gratified by CMS’s decision to keep the 2024 guidelines in place, which we strongly believe will serve the best interests of Medicare beneficiaries this Annual Enrollment Period (AEP). This year’s AEP is expected to be especially challenging and disruptive for seniors. It is gratifying to know that CMS’s decision to retain 2024 compensation guidelines helps ensure that all Medicare beneficiaries can have the benefit of working with a licensed agent to help guide them through their coverage decisions. #CMS #fransoistman #medicare

A recent Gallup poll reveals that most U.S. adults are increasingly worried about the future of Medicare and Social Security. Fox News TV spoke with eHealth, Inc.’s Whitney Stidom to get her expertise on the poll’s findings. "As we enter the last few months of the election [season], candidates from both parties should be clear that it’s not only seniors who care about the future of Medicare — younger people care, too," Stidom shared. To help avoid cost increases or loss of certain benefits in 2025, Stidom encourages seniors to review their Plan Notice of Change letters carefully as soon as they arrive — and to go over their options with a trusted, licensed adviser. "Don’t wait until the last minute to make selections for next year," she added.

More pictures to share from our annual eHealth, Inc. Season of Giving, where dozens of our volunteers donated their time last month at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley and Utah Food Bank in Salt LakeCity. We are a remote first company but that hasn't slowed our volunteer efforts. In fact, giving back has made for the perfect opportunity to get together and make a difference in the communities where we live. #eHealthInc #SeasonOfGiving #SacramentoFoodBank #SecondHarvestSiliconValley #UtahFoodBank #RemoteFirst #VolunteerEfforts #CommunityImpact #GivingBack #MakeADifference

What an incredible season of giving for our eHealth team who volunteered with the Central Texas Food Bank in Austin earlier this month! The food bank works with food donors across the country, financial supporters and volunteers to fill unmet needs in Central Texas. This commitment from private, government and charitable partners has allowed the Central Texas Food Bank to bring nearly 54 million meals to the community last year and into the hands of families and local nonprofits that turn to the food bank for help. From all of us at eHealth, thank you for giving us the opportunity to help. #centraltexas #foodbank #volunteer #giving

We are a remote-first company but that hasn’t stopped us from volunteering in the communities where we live. We want to thank the Happy Hope Factory for recently giving our senior leadership team, including our CEO Fran Soistman, the opportunity to pack 200 Happy Hope Bags filled with coloring card sets, pencils and fun comics to read. The foundation’s signature Happy Hope Bags are a boost of hope for children who are hospitalized or homeless, providing hours of activity and engagement that help take a child’s mind off their treatment. Thank you to all our eHealth volunteers who participated in this year's eHealth season of giving. Look for more highlights from our volunteer events in the days and weeks ahead. #volunteer #Happyhopefoundation #giving #hope #happyhopefactory
