New research has revealed the importance of staying on air during the summer months to increase share of voice. Contrary to popular belief, viewership during the summer months remains fairly consistent. During the summer of 2023, there was only a 3% decline in time spent per day with traditional TV and streaming compared to the other seasons. Despite this, approximately 8% of advertisers go dark during the summer, resulting in a drop in advertisers on air. Brands that pull back on TV advertising campaigns during the summer are missing out on potential engagement when viewers are still actively watching TV, and lose a unique opportunity to garner more share of voice in the market without increasing investment. It's Presidential debate week! The 2024 election gains momentum with the first debate taking place on Thursday, but voters will be tuned in throughout the election cycle. According to Kantar's Consumer Survey of Political Viewpoints commissioned by Effectv, 34% of survey respondents said they watch more TV as we get closer to an election while only 16% watch less. Of those who watch more TV, 38% want to learn more about candidates and 59% watch more news. Learn more about our solutions for political advertisers: https://comca.st/3L2stlW

“Our benefits are called fertility coverage, which means that you can take advantage of it without having to prove anything. Other companies call it infertility, and a lot of times, if it's under infertility, you must prove that you haven't been able to get pregnant.” - Jess Stubbs, Senior Director, Customer Experience Operations, Comcast Advertising 🌈 For same-sex couples like Jess and her wife Abby, it's important how a company words their benefits to be inclusive. Read about Jess and her wife's experience having their second baby through the fertility process.
