The Region 2 Education Service Center's mission is to be a catalyst for change resulting in student improvement, efficiency, and economy of operation. We promote educational excellence for all our students in which state and local initiatives are endorsed and implemented within the region. Every Region 2 district is provided both instructional and non-instructional assistance. The primary focus of our organization is geared towards student achievement which is achieved via offering relevant professional development for teachers, administrators, school board members, parents, and other clientele.

Over 40 participants attended the "Basic Kitchen Math and Food Safety in Childcare" Workshop on June 11th at ESC Region 2. Participants practiced their math skills and how to apply math skills in calculating serving sizes, the number of servings needed to serve the children at their centers and how to adjust recipes. Participants also participated in a comprehensive food safety training course that provides guidance for CACFP Nutrition Professionals to assure the preparation and service of safe food in their CACFP operations.
