One week after the Opening of our Exhibition of “Future Fashion Concepts” at ISTITUTO MARANGONI MIAMI we finally will be starting to share the highlights with you.
We originally had planned to curate the exhibition during Art Basel in December in a different location, which did not work out in the end, and we were not even sure if the Exhibition is going to happen at all.
Upon my sister’s DANIELA FELDER arrival here in Miami, she joined me to ISTITUTO MARANGONI MIAMI where I am teaching a course on Responsible Fashion.
We shared our exhibition concept with IMM and they fully embraced it and suggested that we curate the exhibition at their beautiful fashion institute, perfectly located in the heart of the Miami Design District.
With exactly three weeks to go until the Opening Day March 1st, we contacted some of the inspiring innovators that we had been in touch with over the past year and decided to focus on companies that are somewhat local for logistic reasons and also to keep the carbon footprint in check.
Amazingly, everyone we contacted agreed without hesitation to be part of the “Future Fashion Concepts” Exhibition and to speak on our panel.
Creativity, revolutionary innovations, and a shared value system for a new economy; we all came together with one mission:
Offering solutions that are moving away from extraction and pollution and towards a circular and renewable fashion and textile industry.
Firstly, a big thank you to ISTITUTO MARANGONI MIAMI for all their support, especially to Sofía Agostini Aleja Madrid and Mario Braghieri and all the wonderful students involved.
And to our amazing exhibitors -Ecovative - the mycelium technology company Soarce and Osomtex® who so generously shared their experiences and knowledge with us and our guests.
Thank you to everyone that came down to the Opening and in case you have missed it, you still can view the Exhibition until the end of the month.
Also, we will be sharing some of the highlights here over the next week.
As always, please share your thoughts and questions, and if you like to know more about Responsible Fashion Business and Material Innovations, definitely stay tuned!
