About us
An eclectic combination of education, intuition, experience and ability… Founded in 1997, Dylan Moore Marketing Design is a full service graphic design and strategic marketing firm. The firm’s primary objective is to provide dynamic creative communications, with an emphasis on customer service, to a broad base of clients. A graduate of the University of Houston’s Graphic Communications program, Dylan Moore held several positions in Houston’s design community - working in corporate, institutional and agency environments - before founding DMMD. Since that time, the firm has produced award winning work for the likes of General Electric, BP, The University of Houston, Memorial Hermann, Newmark Homes and The Boy Scouts of America, to name just a few. While acting as the firm’s Principal and Creative Director, Dylan Moore is also actively involved in Houston’s art and design community. He has served the Houston Chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts’ Board of Directors since its inception, and as its President in 2000-2002, and has served as Adjunct Faculty to the University of Houston’s Graphic Communications program on several occasions. He also contributes time and services to such groups as The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, The Boy Scouts of America and The Houston Read Commission.

Sad to hear of the passing today of a truly original thinker and voice - Adios y Vaya con Dios Kinky Friedman. Back in 2006, when he was running his uniquely irreverent campaign for Governor of Texas, H Texas Magazine hosted a fundraising event for him, featuring performances by Asleep at The Wheel and our good buddy John Evans. DMMD was proud receive the commission to create a promotional and commemorative poster for the event. #creative #music #writing #politics

Branding for Hospitality. Creating and maintaining a brand for a hospitality client – bars, restaurants and even hotels - is a unique challenge. Done right, a successful hospitality brand reflects the personality and positioning of the business, and encompasses every aspect of the customer experience - from outbound marketing to the physical space, service, and every impression in between. DMMD was contracted to develop this brand for a fun and unassuming cocktail bar “in the hard-working heart of Spring Branch, TX.” The kicker – opening day was slated for March 1, 2020. (Sigh.) Suffice it to say this brand sadly never saw the light of day – until today. But, it was still too fun and interesting of a project to at least not get this brief moment in the sun. #branding #hospitality #creativity #cheers

The Tuesday after Memorial Day is always a special day for DMMD, because that’s the day in 1997 that we first officially opened our doors. That’s right, today DMMD proudly celebrates 27 years in business. In those 27 years, we’ve called 3 different locations home, and amazingly, only undergone 3 major website redesigns. Today, team DMMD consists of 4 full-time employees, 3 of whom are UH grads, while the other is a proud US Navy veteran. Our founder and Creative Director is 54, 17 years older than the next oldest employee, but our other 2 team members are only 2 years apart in age. We did the math, and it adds up! 3 x 3 = 9 x 4 = 36 / 3 = 12 + 17 = 29 - 2 = 27! #CountOnDMMD

Someone asked me the other day how we get most of our business, and I told them that even as we continue to grow and expand our capabilities and audience, at least 50% of our business still comes from referrals and repeat clients. Over the past few years we've had the opportunity to create some fun and interesting product packaging. We feel that successful, compelling packaging is not only eye-catching from the point of sale perspective, but also incorporates elements of design and messaging, details that are maybe not instantly obvious, but help reinforce the character of the client, and strengthen the bond between consumer and product, beyond the purchase. #products #packaging #creativity #design #dmmd

ROI & KPIs vs Awards... As a rule, DMMD does not pursue praise for its own sake, preferring results over awards as our benchmark for success. Like the time several years back when we rebranded Diligent Delivery Systems, developed and implemented a comprehensive marketing strategy, and they called us a few months later to say they had just recorded the highest revenue quarter in the company's 20+ year history. Or, how our social media content development and distribution campaigns for CAMP and iNet achieved both companies increases in multiple KPIs ranging from 125% to 315%+ year over year. But my favorite is the time we were tasked with developing a Visual Identity and basic web presence for a new company - Ajax Resources - and they called us just a little over a year later to say they need to take the website down, because the company had just been sold... for $1.25 Billion! We get it, having an impactful brand, compelling creative and a well-thought out and implemented marketing strategy is not the sole reason these great companies experienced the kind of success they achieved - but it surely didn't hurt.
