#OurRichHistory: In 2017, Ducommun’s current president and CEO Stephen G. Oswald joined the company and sharpened the company’s strategic focus, leading the company’s expansion into aftermarket products and services with five acquisitions over the next five years. In 2022, Ducommun announced it’s “Vision 2027” to shareholders, a 5 year strategy to grow to between $950 million and $1 Billion in revenue. This strategy has quickly been put into action, as shown by Ducommun’s record-setting revenue achievement in 2023. #OurRichHistory: By the late 1990s, Ducommun began its rebound with sales reaching $170.8 million. The improved performance was due, in part, to contracts for McDonnell- Douglas fighters and Boeing airliners, some of the programs that we still support today. Ducommun continued its growth through acquisitions and in 2011, doubled the size of the company with the purchase of LaBarge, Incorporated. This acquisition resulted in enhanced capabilities and an expanded customer base with our present day performance centers in Wisconsin, Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. #OurRichHistory: In 1978, Charles E. Ducommun, the last member of the Ducommun family to lead the company, announced his retirement. In the years following, the company faced an economic recession compounded by slow growth in the metals market and an aerospace industry hit hard by a halt in manned space exploration. In its effort to retrench and survive, Ducommun would sell its metals business and strengthen its focus on the aerospace segment. Pictured Below: Charles E. Happy Flag Day! On this day 247 years ago, the Continental Congress adopted the "Stars and Stripes" as the first official American flag. In celebration of this day, talented employees at our Tulsa performance center have created a beautiful window display to honor our national flag and the freedom and unity that it symbolizes. Thank you to Kari Tho, Group Leader, and Valerie Vang, PCB Assembler, for this stunning display of pride and patriotism! #WeAreDucommun #FlagDay #ProudAmericans #EmployeeEngagement

#OurRichHistory: By the 1960s, Southern California had developed into an aerospace hub and Ducommun again diversified to support the growing space program. In 1962, astronaut John Glenn flew the Friendship 7 in the first U.S. manned orbital space flight, a critical step forward in the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union. Over the next several decades, the US space industry would continue to grow with the success of the Apollo missions and later the U.S. Space Shuttle program, to which Ducommun was a critical supplier. #OurRichHistory: By 1939, Ducommun had expanded into several different industries beyond aviation including oil, agriculture and even movies. Hollywood was booming and Ducommun kept pace by supplying building materials for theaters as well as metal parts for movie cameras. The company continued to grow its relationship with the aviation industry, supplying metals and processed metal parts for aircraft before formally changing its name to Ducommun Metals & Supply Company in 1942. When the United States entered into World War II, Ducommun’s large inventory of stainless and carbon steel fed the production of military aircraft and ships.
