Current U.S. immigration policies unfairly target immigrants in connection with drugs. A one-size-fits-all approach increases deportations, splits families apart, disrupts communities, and terrorizes non-citizens. Friends don’t let friends forget to tell the Biden admin to decriminalize marijuana. Submit your public comment here – and send to a friend: https://lnkd.in/eM-jwfzi

Federal marijuana criminalization harms all of us, including young people–even in states where it's legal. College students caught with marijuana on campus can face extreme consequences, including disciplinary records that follow them after they graduate. Criminalization especially harms low-income students, students of color, and noncitizens. Young people shouldn't have their entire futures jeopardized just for marijuana use. https://lnkd.in/e2rZCnbD To end federal criminalization, tell the Biden Admin to deschedule marijuana: https://lnkd.in/ep-Zg7kz

A new report released today by the Drug Policy Alliance and Human Rights Watch found that in many cases, drug offenses were used as the reason for deportation even when no longer criminalized under state law, such as marijuana possession. Lawmakers must update federal law to align with current state-based reforms. Read more in our report: https://lnkd.in/eQ9FFPWe

There’s only one week left to submit your public comment on federal marijuana law changes! The Biden Administration's proposal to reschedule marijuana to Schedule III isn’t enough. Real reform means removing it from the CSA entirely. Speak up for decriminalization, clearing records, and racial justice. Submit your comment now: https://lnkd.in/eM-jwfzi

Submitting a public comment to the DEA only takes 2 minutes. Tell them rescheduling marijuana isn't enough – we need to deschedule it entirely! https://lnkd.in/eM-jwfzi

Time is running out to make your voice heard! We all deserve marijuana laws grounded in health, racial equity, and reinvestment. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is proposing rescheduling marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III, but this isn't enough. We need laws based on health, equity, and repair. The Biden Admin must remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act entirely. Act now! https://lnkd.in/eM-jwfzi

People use drugs for many reasons. Not everyone has an addiction, but for those who do may need a range of addiction services and social supports including treatment, housing, recovery services, detox, overdose prevention services, harm reduction, and more. What don’t they need? To be criminalized. #NoMoreDrugWar
