In the wake of Hurricane Idalia, DRMP designed the Levy County Shoreline Resiliency – Preserving Historic Cedar Key plan to protect Cedar Key’s coastline. The plan, recently approved by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, features a living breakwater and Wave Attenuation Devices (WADs), blending natural elements with engineered solutions to shield the community and its iconic Dock Street business district from future storms.
