While our core mission remains steadfast, Dreami has undergone incredible growth in the last two years, expanding well beyond just mentorship. We realized that supporting equitable career development may start with mentorship, but doesn't end there. Today, we share our refreshed landing page to reflect Dreami's growth, vision and solutions. We began our journey with supporting small nonprofits and have scaled to power meaningful development experiences for global organizations with thousands of people. We get asked all the time how we achieve our 92%+ match satisfaction rate between the mentors and mentees on Dreami. It all comes down to while a great mentor-mentee match can't always be predicted and optimized with software, truly understanding your participant's backgrounds, goals, drivers, values, interests and life paths can shape an incredible match. In February, Women in Agile emailed me some good news: I had a mentor assigned. Little I knew the news was great! ✨ Meeting Elena Manea six months ago was the beginning of a beautiful journey, as she wasn't only my mentor, she was also my coach and my supporter during all this time. Some of the things I'm grateful for: ✨ reminding me of visual thinking! Elena is a great visual thinker and storyteller herself. So when she showed me her work in this area, I remembered how I used to prepare materials for my training sessions 10 years ago. It was so powerful accessing this resource! ✨ the feedback I received on my CV. It was spot-on, relevant, and aligned with what I was targeting. While pursuing discussions for project/program manager roles, I even got the feedback that I had all the keywords in it and I remembered Elena helping me find the right ones. 😃 ✨ the feeling of "I can do this!" after each session. No matter what type of challenge I was bringing to the table, I was always listened to and encouraged. We're excited to announce that Dreami won FIRST PLACE in the National Science Foundation (NSF) VITAL Prize challenge 🎉 ! The greatest thanks goes to our educator mentor, Michelle, who is a strong advocate and voice for educators and learners around the US. She believed in our solution, even when I didn't have a clue how we'd possibly compete with all of the other incredibly qualified teams! A big thanks also goes to Shayla Cornick and Digital Promise for their support and education throughout the last year. More about the VITAL Prize: This $6 million prize challenge is made possible through a partnership between the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Schmidt Futures and the Walton Family Foundation. The nearly 12 month long competition began with 100 teams in the Discovery Round; 54 teams advancing to the semi-final round and 18 teams further advancing to the final round. The teams presented their minimum viable prototypes in live pitch sessions to a judging panel, resulting in a first-, second- and third-prize team for each track, with grand prize winnings of up to $250,000 per team. Building a platform to scale and automate career development programs such as mentorship and career coaching is a big task! No two programs are the same, we've grown faster than intended and have had to scale as fast as possible, and different audiences have different needs. At Dreami, we've taken a hands-on approach when we work with our partner network of Nonprofits, Universities and Corporate/Workforce programs. Many told us it would unsustainable, but we've learned that providing each program admin with a Mentorship Success Representative is a super-power of ours. We've been busy making updates to how Dreami can help to automate, streamline and scale career development programs such as mentorship and career coaching--as a small team, we realize that listening closely to our admins, and end users helps to build our roadmap. So without further ado, here's the features we've built from listening to our partners in the last 3 months alone: -SSO: for larger organizations needing streamlined authentication -Hosting custom training videos and resources on our Resource Hub -Enhanced guides and prompts for end users (such as mentors and mentees) to reference -Greater visibility of the Resource Hub on common features such as Messaging, Agendas and the Milestone Tracker -User tags: Keep track of different types of users through custom tags that you can filter -Admin defined milestones: Pre-set milestones for your end users to check off during their time in your program -Enhanced admin onboarding -- with easier onboarding documents, a simpler checklist and faster process If you're a Nonprofit, University or Corporate/Workforce program--let's chat!
