Dover CTE Career Signing Day 2024. Dover CTE hosted its Second Career Signing Day on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, where 6 CTE students formally committed to beginning their careers after graduation by signing letters of intent with their respective employers. These placements align closely with the Career & Technical Education programs they have successfully completed. The event showcased the following students: Preston Buchta, who signed with Bortner Brothers Inc. under the guidance of Brad Ilgenfritz; Devin Cronister and Travis Smith, who secured positions with Abbottstown Industries Inc. under the mentorship of Austin Wilhide; Breanna Platts, who inked her commitment with the PA Department of Transportation, supported by Brittany Livingston; Ryan Rice, who joined Walton & Company Inc. with the support of Perry Patton; and Cayden Cannon-Faucher, who signed on with Bell-Mark Technologies under the guidance of Nate Sennett. It was a momentous occasion as parents and prospective employers joined in to celebrate the students' career choices and future endeavors.

The teaching position will be teaching in a Computer Technology lab for grades 9-12 and working with an inter-discipline curriculum with in Information Technology, computer program and Cybersecurity areas. Qualifications: • 4 years and 8,000 hours of experience in the Information Technology or Computer Programing Industry. • Must be able to pass the Occupational Competency Assessment. On Thursday March 14 the Dover Area Business Association (DABA) allowed Dover CTE students to speak to the group. The students (Ankhet, Ian, Maddex and Bailey) and teacher Mrs. Kress spoke to the group about Dover’s CTE programs, Career Technical Student Organizations (DECA, FFA & SkillsUSA) and community services that the students can help the business owners. The students did a great job and represented Dover with Pride. It was great to see students display their leadership qualities in a public forum. Dover Area School District
