From June 11 to 14, 2024, Our Splunk Architect / SME Yohannis Ibsa attended the .conf24 conference at the Venetian Resorts and Hotel in Las Vegas. The event featured various sessions and distinguished speakers from Splunk and Cisco, emphasizing their collaboration and technological synergies. Key sessions he was a participant in included topics such as enhancing Security Operations Centers with Splunk's threat research, best practices for Splunk Enterprise Security content updates, and advanced data processing techniques using Splunk’s tools. He also explored the integration of OpenTelemetry with Splunk Universal Forwarder and the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in improving data quality within Splunk Enterprise. The conference was beneficial both for its educational content and networking to connect with numerous tech professionals, including developers, vendors, and industry experts, facilitating valuable exchanges of ideas and potential collaborations. These interactions, along with the informative sessions, have been mutually beneficial for the participants.

Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Global Health Conference and Exhibition was held during March 11-15, 2024 in Orlando, Florida. HIMMS is an industry conference to engage in insightful conversations about cutting edge health technology solutions for the digital transformation of the healthcare sector. DigiTran CEO Srinivas Mankala started his  HIMMS journey in 2011 when he demoed the Blue Button at the Northrup Grumman Booth. Blue Button is the first of its kind VA mobile application for iPhone and Android smartphones. This app provides Veterans with easy access to their health information at doctors’ offices, hospitals, and other centers of healthcare innovations. It allowed Veterans to access their Personal Health Record (EHR) on their mobile devices from the VA’s MyHealtheVet site on their smartphone without the need for a computer with Internet connectivity. The mobile app was very well received. Blue Button is now ready to be adapted to federal health AI initiatives. This year, DigiTran as a PEGA partner and Center of Excellence (COE) focused on federal workflow automation, coordinated with our PEGA representatives upon their initiative and attended the Orlando conference to forge long term partnerships for digital transformation and interagency integration with the U.S. government in support of our nation’s veterans at Veterans Affairs (VA), Military Health Service (MHS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and to support the digital transformation of healthcare services for our nation’s elderly and poor at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). DigiTran also networked with its CRM partner Salesforce to explore areas of collaboration in federal health. #digitran #iacs It was wonderful attending this IACS Executive Connect event at the Willard Hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., on September 14. Inspiring stories by younger and older Indian-Americans integrating themselves seamlessly into American public life in greater numbers, not just economic life, representing the mosaic of America and not just the Indian-American community. Reminds me of me 15 years ago when Kumar Barve, https://lnkd.in/eDmentKG, was perhaps the only state legislator in Maryland of Indian origin representing King Farm where I lived with my family from 1998-2010 in Rockville, Maryland as a part of his district. Looking forward to more such events.
