Imagine a world where you can target people by where they are right then and there. Well, we are living in it, all thanks to geofencing marketing and geotargeting. 📍 Over the past few weeks, we’ve had several clients inquire about geofencing/geotargeting, and how they could take advantage of it in their campaigns. So, let’s break down what geofencing and geotargeting are and what the difference is. #DigitalStrikeExpertise Here’s the difference:

Beep Beep… Hello, good people of LinkedIn. Nowadays, when we think of artificial intelligence, we immediately think of generative AI like ChatGPT. But AI has been all around us long before that. For #AIAppreciationDay, we wanted to highlight some AI that you might use every day. ⛽ Grammarly - Our favorite grammar checker has trained their AI to process human language and provide information and suggestions on how to enhance your writing. ⛽ Chat Bots—Many consumers prefer to engage with a brand WITHOUT having to talk to them, so chat bots allow consumers to ask general questions and get immediate responses. ⛽ Computer Chess (or other games) - For when we are passing the time! The computer opponent you have uses AI to read your moves and respond to them. What other AI do you use? Let us know in the comments ⬇️ . . . #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #DigitalMarketing #DigitalStrikeExpertise

🚨 ALERT 🚨 ALERT 🚨 Attention all advertisers: You need to keep an extra pair of eyeball on your targeting settings when setting up new Search campaigns. Google Ads has made broad match the default setting. We repeat: Google is a mood, and that mood is broad match. If veteran paid Search strategists who aren’t used to broad match being the default aren’t super vigilant, this could significantly impact campaign performance and budget spend. Although this switch is causing advertisers to throw their hands up in the air in frustration, the change does make sense for where Google is heading. Google has been pushing towards more automated, AI-driven campaign management. But what does this mean for your paid campaigns? Well, advertisers will now have to consciously take the step to turn off a broad match when setting up campaigns to avoid using broad targeting unintentionally. Gen Z is changing the way that they shop online, and companies are scrambling to keep up. Reddit, in collaboration with GWI and AmbassCo, released a study that breaks down Gen Z’s online shopping behaviors and product search patterns. After surveying 3,000 Gen Z internet users in the US and Europe, the study found that: ⛽ Brand discovery via search is down 15% since 2018 (an increase from 34% in 2018 to 29% in 2023) ⛽ Brand discovery via social media is up 36%. (an increase from 36% in 2018 to 49% in 2023) The shift in platforms is also affecting young people’s behaviors when they shop online. Rather than searching for products, Gen Z expect to discover brands in their social media feed. What does that mean for businesses? Brands need a strong social media strategy that prioritizes appearing in users’ feeds and creating content that those users want to engage with. Perhaps surprisingly, although younger people want products recommended to them on their feed, they don’t want those recommendations to come from influencers. These young shoppers are less likely to trust products recommended by social media influencers due to the compensation they receive for promoting those products. Young people want to see recommendations and reviews from regular people. Gen Z is also unhappy with their experience on traditional search engines, citing that the results are bogged down with inaccurate information and unreliable reviews. What do they use as an alternative? Reddit and other search forums. Gen Z ranked it as the third-most trusted source, behind friends and family and review websites. The community-based forums help provide specific answers to users’ questions, making the experience feel more authentic. So what do brands need to do to connect with Gen Z consumers? They need to promote a real, authentic, and human experience based on accurate information. Promote the regular person’s experience with your brand on both social media and search in a way that will resonate with young shoppers.
