Denny's announces the hiring of two executives, and we are excited to have them joining our team! On August 5, Monigo Saygbay-Hallie GPHR, Ph.D will join us as EVP, chief people officer for Denny's Corporation at the enterprise level. As a celebrated human resources, talent manager and culture leader, Monigo brings more than 20 years of experience with leadership roles at Sysco Corporation and YUM! Brands. She will oversee employee engagement, refine performance management, drive succession planning and strengthen our employee value proposition. Monigo will directly collaborate with our corporate teams to support Denny's Restaurant and Keke's Breakfast Cafe and drive their continued success and growth. On August 12, Patty Trevino will step in as SVP, chief brand officer at Denny's. She brings over 20 years of restaurant industry experience, most recently as EVP, chief marketing officer at Red Lobster. She has also held marketing leadership roles at Carl's, Jr., Bloomin' Brands, and Burger King. Patty's expertise in guiding brands and her dedication to collaborating with franchisees will be invaluable assets. She will lead branding efforts, including strategy, public relations, social and digital marketing, customer experience and insights, product innovation, crisis management and brand consistency. Franchise owner Farooq Ghias started his first Denny’s location in 1995. Today, we celebrate the grand opening of his newest location in Rosemead, CA. Our doors are now open at 1021 San Gabriel Boulevard. Come in after a walk in Rosemead Park to dig into some Grand Slams and any other Denny's breakfast classics. Denny’s continues to reach guests outside of the restaurant through Community as the team celebrated Park and Recreation Month with the City of Dallas. Last Friday, volunteers from the Dallas Support Center fed over 1,100 people from our Mobile Relief Diner, including youth summer campers ages 5 to 15. In addition to handing out delicious hot meals, our Chief Inclusion & Community Engagement Officer April Kelly-Drummond (she/her/hers) and Chief Marketing Officer Sherri Rankin Landry presented a $5,000 contribution on behalf of the Denny’s Community initiative. The funds will benefit local facilities and programs for the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center located in south Dallas.
