We're excited to present our Advisory Board Spotlight: Introducing Mark Timmons! This spotlight is more than just an introduction; it's an invitation to explore the passions that fuel our Advisory Board members' collective efforts to make a difference! What makes you, you? What makes me, me is the sum of all my lived experiences, both good and bad. It's the dreams and goals I still strive for, the people in my life that I love. What makes me, me is the impact I make in this world, as an individual, a father, a son, a leader, a mentor. All of these go into what makes me, me. What does being a DAA Advisory Board member mean to you? Being an Advisory Board member, and a member of the Board of Directors, means a lot to me. It gives me a louder voice not only in helping to guide the organization, but in mentoring to others living with dementia. It gives me more opportunities to advocate and fulfill my purpose. What is one hope you have for the future? One hope I have for the future is for the walls of stigma to be torn down, not only for dementia, but for all invisible disabilities, including mental illness. We all need to be treated equally. We all need to be treated with compassion, and respect, not as outcasts. #Dementia #Alzheimer #dementiasupport #dementiaawareness #MCI #nonprofit #charity #FTD #lewybody #DementiaCare
