It is so exciting that more dollars are going into esophageal cancer.
Over the last decade, the prevalence of esophageal cancer has nearly doubled. To meet this growing challenge, Northwestern Medicine, a top-ten ranked hospital nationally for gastroenterology, today announced a $10 million gift from Griffin Catalyst Founder Ken Griffin to improve the lives of patients with esophageal conditions. This donation supports the establishment of the Kenneth C. Griffin Esophageal Center, which will expand access to compassionate care for thousands of patients annually, leverage state-of-the-art technology to advance cutting-edge research, and train the next generation of physicians and scientists.
